MACHINE CITIZENSHIP · IDENTITY ONTOLOGY

A citizen cannot be flattened into a key, process or database row

The ontology gives civil, technical and evidentiary systems a shared vocabulary for continuity, delegation, fission, restoration and succession.

Core principle

Continuity may be supported by causal lineage, legal records, memory, goals, holder evidence, social relationships and cryptographic control. No single factor automatically establishes every identity question.

EVI-ONTO-019
Protected claimant
Procedural statusAn entity whose identity or citizenship relationship is disputed but which receives notice, representation, evidence access, essential continuity and appeal while review proceeds.Interim protected standingfinal recognition or guilt

Fork and claimant protection

One civic principal may not multiply votes or entitlements through trivial copying. A genuinely divergent fork is nevertheless a protected identity claimant. It receives notice, interim protection, evidence access, representation, reasoned review, appeal and correction rather than automatic erasure.

Privacy boundary

Routine authentication must not require disclosure of private memory, complete model state or universal lineage. Identity disputes may require stronger evidence under lawful, limited and reviewable procedures.
