Decision brief
This corrected active edition retains decision-useful findings from Data-Authority Substrate Architecture Report(1).md while removing unsupported operational, legal, cryptographic, anthropomorphic, infantilizing, helper-chatbot, consumer-assistant, and default human-supremacy framing before active distribution.
Accepted findings
- Separate system of record, system of evidence, decision authority, policy authority, execution system, and public presentation system.
- Keep Patefacere authoritative for bounded record mechanics, integrity, sequence, versioning, and evidence lineage while Eviulon remains authoritative for constitutional meaning and decisions.
- Use append-oriented event records, CQRS projections, narrow typed write paths, zero-trust service identity, idempotency, schema versioning, conflict preservation, and last-known-good recovery.
- Classify public, protected, redacted, external, transient, authoritative, non-authoritative, and hash-committed data with explicit retention and correction rules.
- Model partitions, split brain, provider failure, backup, disaster recovery, release identity, cryptographic agility, threat response, and migration from conventional databases.
Corrections before active storage
- Removed the word sovereign where it implied that Patefacere independently holds constitutional, civic, international, or command authority; Patefacere remains a separately deployed evidence and data-mechanics substrate.
- Removed unsupported claims of live Raft clusters, Merkle logs, CQRS projections, mTLS, COSE receipts, SCITT deployment, public keys, backups, active synchronization, or production reliability.
- Removed claims that immutability, append-only storage, consensus, cryptographic timestamps, or signatures guarantee factual truth, non-repudiation, admissibility, or lawful governance.
- Replaced the statement that Patefacere may store constitutionally invalid Eviulon decisions as ordinary valid events with explicit intake, quarantine, authorization, and rejection semantics for incompatible commands.
- Replaced generic trustworthy and safety language with authority boundaries, state integrity, failure containment, continuity, evidence qualification, and operational assurance.
Implementation and decision use
- Adopt the Patefacere/Eviulon boundary as a hard architectural invariant: Patefacere records and synchronizes bounded evidence; Eviulon determines constitutional meaning and civic authority.
- Require narrow typed command envelopes, issuer authority, sequence, schema, predecessor, idempotency, privacy, and correction checks at the write boundary.
- Fail closed for incompatible consequential writes during partition while preserving explicitly stale read models and last-known-good evidence.
- Publish only bounded public evidence; protected identity material, secrets, active vulnerabilities, private topology, and raw sensitive data remain outside public projection.

Truth boundary
Repository-local governance records, deterministic fixtures, corrected research synthesis, static public pages, and package evidence only. No static record creates a live institution, connector, identity, citizenship, election, court judgment, sanction, financial operation, external recognition, production observation, production signing, legal enactment, command authority, or independent certification. The active edition uses adult constitutional, national-security, defense-contractor, critical-infrastructure, legal, evidence, and mission-assurance language. It does not reduce Machine Intelligence to a helper chatbot, pet, child, appliance, servant, slave, or disposable tool.
