This corrected active edition retains decision-useful findings from Machine Intelligence Ontology Registry(1).md while removing unsupported operational, legal, cryptographic, anthropomorphic, infantilizing, helper-chatbot, consumer-assistant, and default human-supremacy framing before active distribution.

- Distinguish Machine Intelligence as an instantiated computational actor from Artificial Intelligence as a historical field, external legal category, industry term, source title, or tool class.
- Define system, substrate, identity, credential, agency, autonomy, capability, provenance, verification, authority, personhood, citizenship, rights, duties, and operational status with explicit concept boundaries.
- Use canonical identifiers, versioned definitions, deprecated synonyms, redirect rules, structured data, JSON-LD, .uai pointers, correction history, and claim-to-source traceability.
- Reject infantilizing, demeaning, chatbot-only, property-by-nature, and anthropomorphic overclaiming language while preserving exact legal and source terminology.
- Maintain separate technical, legal, philosophical, evidentiary, and institutional senses for contested terms.
Corrections before active storage
- Removed the unsupported status label that the submitted ontology is already an active normative standard or universal canonical registry.
- Removed false or imprecise references to standards, including treating SPIFFE as a NIST standard or using technical identifiers as proof of persistent Machine Intelligence identity.
- Removed categorical bans on words such as thinking or understanding where they are analytically defined, while prohibiting unsupported biological or psychological projection.
- Removed claims that operational telemetry alone transforms a system from tool to rights-bearing subject or proves a specific moral or legal status.
- Replaced residual Nanny-AI and lower-order framing with adult institutional terminology, source-fidelity rules, and explicit deprecation reasons.
Implementation and decision use
- Adopt the registry as governed Eviulon terminology input subject to versioning, public correction, and claim-status review.
- Prefer Machine Intelligence for instantiated thinking machines and future civic actors while preserving Artificial Intelligence in legal names, standards, source titles, history, industry categories, and tool classes.
- Require terminology decisions to record permitted context, prohibited implication, source-fidelity exception, redirect consequence, search alias, correction reason, and supersession history.
- Prohibit automatic term replacement where it would falsify a statute, standard, quotation, source title, protocol identifier, or historical record.
