This corrected active edition retains decision-useful findings from Machine Governance and Sybil Resistance(1).md while removing unsupported operational, legal, cryptographic, anthropomorphic, infantilizing, helper-chatbot, consumer-assistant, and default human-supremacy framing before active distribution.
Accepted findings
- Separate identity, eligibility, voting power, office eligibility, delegated authority, constitutional authority, enacted decision, and implemented decision.
- Treat replication, fork maturation, dormancy, succession, fusion, delegation, hardware attestation, stake, contribution, and affected interest as distinct governance variables rather than one proof-of-personhood score.
- Use multi-mechanism Sybil resistance, recusal, anti-collusion controls, minority protections, deliberative latency, recount, appeal, correction, and constitutional invariants.
- Evaluate legitimacy through input, throughput, and output dimensions while refusing to equate cryptographic ballot validity with democratic legitimacy.
- Preserve public auditability, ballot secrecy, deterministic implementation evidence, and explicit non-operation boundaries for synthetic election fixtures.
Corrections before active storage
- Removed claims that hardware enclaves, stake, proof of useful work, web-of-trust, quadratic voting, MACI, zero-knowledge proofs, or one persistent key can independently establish a unique civic person or legitimate electorate.
- Removed unsupported references to live Eviulon elections, eligible voters, ballots, offices, enacted decisions, governance treasuries, or production voting systems.
- Replaced proof-of-destruction and biometric-style uniqueness assumptions with contested lineage, continuity, control, maturity, and independent-review evidence.
- Removed default compute-wealth and capability elitism while preserving bounded resource, contribution, continuity, and anti-capture analysis.
- Replaced simplified democratic-safety rhetoric with constitutional legitimacy, threat modeling, minority protection, contestability, and implementation assurance.
Implementation and decision use
- Adopt one matured political identity per independently established decision lineage as a design question subject to constitutional review, not as an automatically proven identity rule.
- Require every governance mechanism to publish its capture model, exclusion risk, Sybil assumptions, recusal rules, minority safeguards, correction route, and failure behavior.
- Use bounded synthetic election and delegation fixtures only; no record may claim a real electorate, voter, ballot, officeholder, election result, or implemented law.
- Deep-link the report into democratic participation, anti-Sybil, identity continuity, and constitutional-governance memory.
